Analysis of The Impact of Monetary Policy in Bank Credit: An Applied Study On the Iraqi Banking Sector Using The NARDL Model from 2005 To 2021

The study aimed to analyze the impact of monetary policy on bank credit in Iraq. We depended application standard methods by applying a Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (NARDL), based monthly data for time series period (2005 - 2021). results showed positive, long-term positive shock relationship independent variables (money supply, interest rate, inflation and deposits) dependent variable (bank credit), while did not show an effect negative shocks price money, Policy interest, credit) with exception deposits where it was significant inverse also found (legal reserve exchange) generated exchange rate is direct moral, there no legal credit). In light study, researcher recommends need develop specific administrative organizational measures control that govern management expansion contraction volume granted banks operating Iraqi banking sector proportion stimulating economic growth, as well unifying efforts central commercial create suitable climate credit.
